Class Suggestions

Hey guys. Now that the track is almost complete, Rick would like feedback from you all on what kind of classes to make for the modified side. Please post your suggestions here.
Also, any suggestions for the track or track rules, things that you see should be done differently?

I think modifying the rules for In-between street is a great idea. I would hate to see this class go away. The trucks that currently compete in this class are closer to the Super Stock rules than Super Street (with the exception of tires and cubic inches).
My suggestion is to copy the rules for Super Stock with DOT tires and no cubic inch rule. Leave the weight break for Small blocks. Super Street trucks from Neeces can run in this class and be competitive. Have you seen how fast them dudes are?
If you change too much from what you already have, you may loose some of the trucks that have been supporting the class for the past couple of years. I beleive these small changes will allow trucks from other tracks another class to run while they are here without eliminating one of the most competitive classes you have now.
A reply from the Admin. would be greatly appreciated. Keep up the good work, the place looks great.
Thanks,
WANNAB

I think if your trying to be like the other tracks you should leave all the rules the same and not change them.Leave the cubic inch rule leave it all. That is your goal to try to be like someone else (not being an rude just saying) well the only way to do that is to have their rules.Right? I think so and I have a few people that agree. That way ther other people you are trying to get down here will be able to come, because they are already set up that way.winkwink ;) :)

Good point Spinny. We ARE trying to be able to run in GA and here with the same classes. The SMRO (up there) is working on their classes too so we thought we would work on them together and make as many racers happy as possible while we do it. That's why we are asking for suggestions.

Thanks for the reply and thank you for considering my suggestions. I was in the process of building a truck for In-between street but I will now put that on hold until the rules are finalized. I, like most of the racers in that class, cannot afford to keep changing things on my truck. If you make In-between street "Super Street" then only one or two of the current trucks are legal. The only other DOT tire class I see for them to run is Class 3 if you have it there. I don't see any of these guys builing a smaller motor just to run a class nor will they be competitive with the "all out race trucks". Not everybody has cut tires to run Pro Street or Super Stock. It will be a shame to loose this class based on the false hope of replacing it with trucks from out of town.
Don't get me wrong, I think common rules between tracks is a great idea. If our two local tracks had done that years ago then maybe we all would have run both of them more.
I will continue to check the web site for the final rules and finish my truck after that. I will be anxious to see everyones' reaction to the changes on the 20th. Rule changes or not it's still the nicest place to race around here. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the quick reply. I better go back to work on my truck now. I've been trying to figure out how to catch that little red toyota and black blazer for a long time. Maybe when they have to weigh 4100 lbs. I'll have a chance. Until then I'll still just be a "WANNAB"

WANNAB,, YOU WILL BE A LOT LIGHTER THAN 4100 LBS. THAT LITTLE RANGER YOUR WORKING ON IS PROBABLY AROUND 3500 LBS OR LESS....YA BETTER GET TWEAKEN....LOL.. WE'LL TRY TO MAKE EVERYTHING FAIR.. THE CLASS MOST PEOPLE ARE COMPLAINING ABOUT IS A-PRO, UP NORTH. MIKE. MILLER IS THINKING OF CHANGING IT TO A-PRO OUTLAW...HE'S WORKING WITH MITCH FOR HIS RULES.. I THINK YOUR PUTTING LADDER BARS ON FRONT WITH COIL-OVERS,, SUPER STREET CLASS IS 2 LEAFS IN FRONT PUSHING THE TRUCK.. 3 LEAFS IN REAR.. NO CARB RULE ... SEAN & KEN GOT YOU SWEATEN...
