We all want the SMRA to be big and grow and have massive events but I don't know where to start from here. It is seperate from the Bithlo Mud Drags and needs to stay that way. I am thinking that we need a few smart people to start organizing the association. An organization doesn't mean president (or presidents wife ). It means officers, committees, lots of members, etc..  I am feeling like everything got dumped on me. So on top of running my household with 3 kids, playing secretary, treasurer, vp, etc.. for Rick's REAL work and having a small but enjoyable embroidery business on the side; I have now taken on a race track and a racing organization. Hmm. That sounds like a lot, doesn't it. I'm not asking for your pity. I enjoy doing all of it (well almost). I'm just looking for all of those guys who thought this was a great idea a while back. Where are you now? Can you help steer us in the right direction to make some progress? We NEED to start planning an EVENT. This takes an EVENT COMMITTEE. We need to put someone in charge of sponsorships, choose a date, plan advertising and much more. Will there be other truck events as well? Do you know someone who can throw a show & shine contest or something like that? We need event insurance, vendors, etc.... This is going to take months but unless one of you all wants to sponsor this thing we need to get planning. Please post, email suggestions. :) If I can't get any help I swear I'll turn it into a craft show. Thanks!     Race On! Admin    Report
