Just in case you were wondering.
Made the trip to the Lima race, the trip was good - traffic was not to heavy except around the citys. saw some old friends there - had a nice time. The racing was close in class III, with the track giving some of the high horsepower guy a tough time on the 1st pass (160' - wet clay), On the second pass the track was really coming around with the left lane still showing to be the better of the two. Kinsella, williams and Schane to name a few brought out their new trucks as well as many improvements on many of the rides in the rest of the field - some really nice equipment out there. Here is a list of the top ten.
Rick Nagele - Instigator 2 -2.77(nat. record),
Donald Huntley- never enuf - 2.79,
Scott Schane - just bring it - 2.81,
Jason Williams - getting jiggy - 2.89,
Paul Karch - team extreme - 2.90,
Sam Lambasio - all in - 2.92,
Marc Hess jr. - hess motorsports - 2.93,
Justin Huff - mud gator - 2.94,
Terry Slocum - sledgehammer - 3.00,
Over all a good time - temp was in the 70's during the day, But cold at night - down to high 40's low 50's.
I thought the number of racers was down some (i will blame it on the gas prices) with only 23 trucks in class III. But they were all good rides, with only about 3 tenths between 1st and 14th. this could be a fun year.
I will try to post later with some class IV info.

Lima class IV - some folks that have been out of the national event tour for a while showed up and made some impressive runs, Mike Thomas and the war wagon II, layed down a 2.25 pass for the win (I think that was a new class record - don't quote me). Right behind him was todd Marrion driving Expect no Mercy with a 2.39 run. The rest of the field was close behind in the following order.
Eric Klos - the judge - 2.41
Bill Lee jr. - T N T - 2.46
Brian Erne - insta-gator - 2.47
Rick Hoffman - Prosecutor - 2.50
Keith Mitchell - Mudgican - 2.55
Jeremy Dugal - the Patriot - 2.57
Donald Huntley - Never Enuff - 2.58
Todd Franklin sr. -HillBillies on Alcohol-2.63
There was around 8 or 10 class III trucks that bumped up to run in class IV to make a field of 24 racers. With Erne and Huntley the only ones to place (I wandered in with a 15th place with a 2.82 - one of these days I'll get the NOS to work).
Good luck to everyone - (www.mud missile. com has some info on class V and VI on his site).

Rick,
Yah, I know - they beet up on me some - I like to think I left a little on the starting line (track had more hook then I though on the 2nd pass) but some of the others probably said the same thing. made a few changes to the chassis, I'll see what happens at Bloomsburg? until then I guess i'm just all washed up!
I thought y'll would be going to Poston's race in SC?
By the way - Ain't scared!!
If I make it down there this fall, The jeep WILL be with me.
Good luck this weekend.
