I was talking to one of my buddies the other day - He was having trouble with his nitrous system working. he had what he called a lean miss-fire (popping & banging at the hit) Well he checked everything (fuel, NOS, elec.) he could not find any thing wrong. Finally pulled carb. (plate system) tried to blow air through the spray bars - found out the fuel bar was half plugged with varnish even though it looked open. Has any one else had a problem like this? and is there a way to prevent it from plugging up again?

Are you sure it was varnish, or was it fuel dye? If it was dye, he may need to up grade his enrichment fuel to something like C-123+, A low dye high oct super clean fuel. If it is varnish he may want to use a little better (cleaner) fuel since the plate is below the carb, or install a fogger system
