Extreme track makeover! Since only 3 or 4 people decided to volunteer at the track April 1st and 2nd, we are going to need serious help on the 8th & 9th.

PLAN TO BE THERE.

I would like to thank those of you that showed up to help on Saturday including the Muddy Waters 4 wheeler club. The track is coming along nicely. Most of the modified spectator fence has been replaced and the irrigation has begun. There were also about a dozen huge, beautiful trees planted to provide shade for us. Thanks to Jimmy & Mike from Nail it Framing for framing in the bottom of the announcers tower.

With that said.....

I hate to be a Negative Nellie but..

When we started this venture of widening the track and making it look nice there were an aweful lot of people who had great ideas and talked about helping but when it comes down to it I can count the people who have actually been to the track and helped on my fingers and toes. I'm hearing an awful lot of complaining going on too. If you don't like the way something is happening then maybe you should get involved and make it different. Put your muscles where your mouth is, so to speak. There are plenty of opportunities for you to help and make a difference. There are people who don't even race that have been there every single weekend to help. If you don't want to help, that's fine. Just keep your mouth shut and go with the flow! These guys don't need the trash talk on top of everything they are doing.

Rick and others are pouring their blood, sweat and money out of their own pockets to make this a nicer and safer place for us all to race and some of you have nothing better to do than bash the whole idea. I know I'd rather have a huge race in Orlando than have to travel to find one. I'm sorry if you are to close minded to appreciate a little change of scenery but have enough respect to appreciate the hard work that is involved. You'll be thanking them all when your winnings are bigger and you don't have to wait around until 2am to race.

If you still can't figure out how to help and want to, email me at admin@semudracing.com and I'll lead you in the right direction. It doesn't take any money on your part unless of course you want to. Just a few hours of  your time.
